The history, botanical characteristics, soil and climatic adaptions, fertilizer and cul- ture, practices, growing processes, harvesting, uses, economic production and cropping systems are topics discussed. Production and preservation of hay and silage crops. Plants suited for cover crops, conservation programs, and rotation systems of the South.
