Curriculum in Physical Therapy Leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy This curriculum is designed to prepare students (1) to become physical therapists in and with hospitals, clinics, and other institutions and agencies concerned with the physical rehabilitation of children and adults; (2) to become physical therapy educators who can supervise and teach persons studying to become physical therapists. After completion of the three-year curriculum listed, it will be necessary for the student to transfer to an approved school of Physical Therapy for this work. Such courses vary from a minimum of 12 months in length to 16 months in length. Such credits as are earned while the student is in attendance at an approved school of Physical Therapy will be evaluated by the University of Florida. This evalua- tion must result in an accumulation of a minimum of 30 semester hours credit. When this requirement has been satisfied, the student is eligible to become a candidate for the degree Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. In addition to the granting of the degree, the student will have earned a certificate of accreditation and will be a qualified physical therapist.
