Curriculum in Physical Education for Women Leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Education This curriculum is designed to prepare students (1) to become teachers of physical education in schools and colleges; (2) to coach athletic sports; (3) to direct intra- mural programs; (4) to serve in school-community recreation programs. Since many women are expected to teach more than one subject, the approved elective hours should be used to complete certification requirements in a second teaching field. Curriculum in Health Education Leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Health Education This curriculum is designed to prepare students (1) to become teachers of health education in schools and colleges; (2) to serve as coordinators of school health edu- cation programs; (3) to serve as health educators in state and county health depart- ments or voluntary health agencies; (4) to qualify for entrance into approved schools of public health for graduate work in health education. Since many teachers of health education are expected to teach more than one subject, the approved elective hours sAould be used to complete certification requirements in a second teaching field.
