UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA (a) Major in Soil Fertility and Management The curriculum in soil fertility and management is designed to give the student a broad training in the fundamentals of general agriculture with particular emphasis on crop production and soil management. Sufficient elective hours are provided so that in addition to thorough training in soils, any student may specialize in some closely allied line of work such as farm management, horticulture or animal production. This curriculum is specially designed for students who wish to obtain basic training in prep- aration for positions as farm managers and operators, or for work in the Agricultural Extension Service or the Soil Conservation Service.
