Students admitted with deficiencies in these areas will be required to obtain remedial training. It is also expected that the ETS foreign language examination be taken during the fall quarter of the first year. Students will be treated as professionals by the faculty, and they will be expected to become actively involved in research soon after they arrive on campus.
