Technical Communications Curriculum Leading to the Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. This curriculum is designed to provide spe- cialists in communications for various technical fields. To fulfill the requirements for this degree, the student must take a core of journalism and other courses, as specified below, and select with the adviser at least 21 semester hours of courses outside of the College of Journalism and Communications in a field of specialization. The field of specialization is limited to technical areas. The area of specialization must be approved by a public relations adviser and the specialized courses worked out in conjunction with an adviser in the area of specialization. A total of 64 semester hours in the upper division is required for the degree.
