Admission This section summarizes the general require- ments for admission to the undergraduate pro- grams offered in this college. Because specific requirements may vary, applicants are encour- aged to contact the dean's office for appropriate counseling. ALL STUDENTS It should be understood that minimum requirements are listed. Admission to this col- lege is a selective process, and satisfaction of minimum requirements does not automatically guarantee admission. A student's total record including educational objective, courses com- pleted, quality of academic record, and knowl- edge of the field will all be considered in evaluating an application for admission. Physi- cal Therapy requires the completion of the SCAT or AHPAT test. Priority in admission will be given to those applicants whose potential on the basis of their total record indicates the great- est likelihood of success in the professional field selected. The dean and faculty of the College of Health Related Professions are aware of the need to prepare well-qualified graduates in the various baccalaureate degree programs. Limita- tions in available staff, faculty, and facilities oblige the college to limit enrollment. The student should consult the appropriate department chair in the college as early as possi- ble regarding his/her program. Well before the deadline for application, February 15, each stu- dent must again review his/her department's required admission documents and information to make sure the deadline will be met. The sequence of professional courses in Occupation- al Therapy begins in the fall semester of the junior year. The Rehabilitative Services program may admit each semester and the Physical Ther- apy program admits only in Summer B.
