In addition, it provides a background for graduate study and for entry into the College of Veterinary medicine. The curriculum consists of core requirements and electives. Through proper selection of electives, students can direct their programs toward their career interests, such as production, agribusi- ness, advanced degrees, and preprofessional programs. Students with limited livestock expe- rience should, with the assistance of their advis- er, select courses to acquire such experience. Early in their college planning, students should meet with their departmental academic advisers assigned by the Animal Science Under- graduate Coordinator, to discuss career goals and plan their program of study.
