Except for those households in the highest income classes among non- farm families and among nonwhite families, the frequency with which households reported level-of-living items increased with the level of positive cash incomes. From the standpoint of total survey households, those with negative eash family incomes reported facilities with approximately the same frequency as did families with incomes of $4,000,
