Proportions tended to decrease steadily as educational levels rose. Less than 4 percent of the individuals with education above the high school level reported farmwork income. More than 40 percent of the individuals reporting farm wage income were female (Table 78). The earnings of female workers were substantially below those of male workers. Less than 3 percent of the females reported more than $500 from farm wage work compared with 32 percent of the male workers.
