Section 235.26 (14) Florida Statutes. In planning materials centers for twelve-grade schools, planners face nu- merous and complex problems. The needs and interests of the teachers and pupils to be served present a wide range of differ- ences; materials needed and services expected will also cause difficulties in designing a materials center satisfactory to all who will use it. The following recommendations will serve as guides in reaching decisions concerning some of these problems. I. Location A. In respect to high school and upper elementary classrooms and accessible to the primary classrooms B. Adjacent to the study hall if there is one C. Where there is a minimum of noise D. In an area suitably proportioned to accommodate functional and aesthetic quarters E. On the first floor with a double-door entrance into the main reading area and a single outside entrance (to the corridor or outside of building) to the work-storage area F.
