- 110 - 4.5 Duties of Teacher Trainers.' Qualified teacher trainers will pro- vide in-service teacher training for teachers, supervisors, and other practical nursing education personnel on both the under- graduate and graduate level by offering extension courses and resident campus courses at approved colleges or universities during the academic year or in special summer sessions. 4.6 Qualifications of Teacher Trainers. 4.61 Experience. 4.61-1 Occupational Experience. Teacher trainers shall possess at least three years of practical work experience as wage earners in a trade or industrial pursuit, except for those who are instructing special workshops for practical nursing education teachers, in which case the work experience must have been in a nursing capacity. 4.61-2 Teaching Experience. A teacher trainer shall possess at least two years of successful experience in teaching industrial education classes meeting the standards of the State Plan, except for those who are conducting workshops for teachers of practical nursing, in which case the work experience shall have been in a nursing capacity. 4.61-3 Supervisory or Administrative Experience. In addition, the teacher trainer shall possess at least three years of experience in a responsible administrative, supervisory, or teacher-training capacity in the field of industrial or nursing education. 4.62 Professional Preparation. Full-time teacher trainers shall have graduated from a standard four-year college. In addition, they shall have secured a master's degree with specialization in industrial education from an approved institution of higher learning. Teacher trainers of work- shops specific to practical nursing education shall have graduated from a standard four-year college with a major in nursing education, and shall be registered professional nurses. 4.7 Plan for Certification by the State Teacher Coordinators, Super- visors, and Directors.
