- 102 - Foreign students may be admitted if they meet the entrance requirements established by the State Board for Vocational Education and the Florida State Board of Nursing. However, foreign students will not be eligible to write the licensing examination nor to practice nursing in Florida upon com- pletion of the course until they meet the citizenship require- ments set forth in Chapter 464, Florida Statutes. Secondary school students shall have satisfactorily com- pleted the eleventh grade before enrolling in the program. 2.43 Provisions for Recruitment, Selection, and Placement of Students. Policies for the recruitment, selection, and placement of students shall be established by the respective county boards of public instruction upon the suggestions and advice of the teachers of practical nursing education within the county and the local advisory committee for practical nursing education. 2. 44 Plan for Preclinical and Clinical Training. 2.44-1 Length of Program in Months. The adult program shall be twelve months in length including vacation time. The preclinical phase of the same program on the secondary school level may be offered in the twelfth grade as an elective. Clinical experience shall follow graduation from high school. The one-year course in this case shall extend over a period of not more than 18 months including vacation time. 2.44-2 Division and Arrangement of Training Time Between School and Hospital. The in-school adult foundation program shall consist of 30 hours per week instruction and supervised practice in school or hospital for approximately 16-18 weeks. Clinical training provided in hospitals or other health agencies shall consist of no less than 30 hours nor more than 40 hours per week of instruction and experience for a minimum of 32 weeks.
