- 98 - and aims of industrial vocational education, including practical nurse training. 1. 22 Experience in Industrial Education. The state supervisor shall possess at least three years of successful educational experience as an administrator or supervisor of industrial education. 1.3 Qualifications of Area Supervisors. The qualifications of area supervisors shall be the same as those of the state supervisor with the possible exception that the completion of a master's degree may be waived under unusual circumstances upon approval of the executive officer. 1.4 Duties of Supporting Professional Nurse Staff other than State and/or Area Supervisors. The State Board shall employ a registered professional nurse as state coordinator (supervisory) of practical nurse education. Her duties will be to provide state supervision of all public school programs of practical nursing education in the State, to assist the state and area supervisors in the functional operation of the total program, and to coordinate the work of the state advisory committee on practical nursing education. 1.5 Qualifications of State Coordinator of Practical Nursing Educa- tion. 1.51 Education. The state coordinator of practical nursing education shall possess a baccalaureate degree from a standard four-year college with a major in nursing education, and shall be properly licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Florida State Board of Nursing. 1.52 Professional Experience. This person shall have had at least three years of professional experience as a registered nurse. 1.53 Educational Experience. The state coordinator shall have been a teacher in a professional or practical school of nursing for at least two years. Supervisory experience in a professional or practical nursing education program may be counted in lieu of the teaching experience require- ment. 1.6 Duties and Qualifications of Local Supervisors of Practical Nursing Education. Local programs of practical nursing education, to be fully effective, should be under the direction of a supervisor who shall be qualified by training, experience, and education in the field of nursing education.
