- 92 - supervision and coordination of technical programs, shall have the qualifications described in Section V, 1.52 of this Plan. Supervisors and coordinators whose sole responsibility is the supervision and coordination of technical education shall possess at least two years of occupational experience as technicians or engineers in oneof the fields which they are to supervise, in addition to having the other professional qualifications normally required of supervisors and coordi- nators in those fields as described in Section V, 1.5 of this Plan. 2.0 PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION 2.1 Procedures to Ensure That Program Meets Plan Requirements. The State Board shall assure that (1) instruction will be designed to train highly skilled technicians, and (2) that training will be in occupations essential for the national defense by means of the following: 2.11 Advisory Committee Review. Local and/or state advisory committees will review courses of instruction. 2.12 Job Analysis. The specific instructional offerings will be based upon evident instructional needs as may be determined by objective surveys. 2.13 Related Fields Analysis. Related instructional areas including applied mathematics and applied science will be analyzed and reflected in the program of studies. 2.14 Use of Funds. The State Board assures that funds will be used only for technical courses designed to fit persons for useful employment as highly skilled technicians in recognized occupations requiring scientific knowledge and necessary for national defense. 2.15 Supervision. Instruction will be adequately supervised by the personnel designated in 1. 1 and 1. 6 of this Section. 3.0 SELECTION OF STUDENTS All approved schools shall assure the State Board that students can be trained as highly skilled technicians by means of the following: 3.1 Tests and Records.
