"Strawherru Yards"


 PLANT CITY

 PLANT CITY. located in Hillsboro County.
 23 miles west of Tampa. is one of the most
 important Strawberry Centers of the country.
 Here. during the months of February and
 March, one may see plenty of activity around
 the yards, markets and packing plants as thou-
 sands of trucks loaded with luscious berries
 transfer their cargoes into long strings of freight
 cars for Northern markets.

 The Strawberry Festival held at the peak of the
 season is a sight well worth seeing, and Plant
 City's airport is conveniently located for us to
 fly in and view this colorful Festival.

 The vertical view of Plant City presented here
 was made from an altitude of 10.000 feet and
 is a typical "mapping picture". A series of
 similar photographs, covering any amount of
 area. may be taken and mosaiced together. form-
 ing an actual true-scale pictorial map of the
 entire territory.
