 cabbage: This common vegetable attains tre-
 mendous size in Florida's rich soil and is but
 one of the many marketable products that the
 Sunshine State produces in great abundance
 throughout the entire year.

 MOSQUITO CONTROL

 THE eradication of Mosquitos is a problem
 which confronts practically every State in
 the Union. and Florida has taken the initiative
 to accomplish this task in an unusual way. By
 cross-sectioning the lowlands with a series of
 properly spaced ditches of sufficient depth to
 allow fish to enter and eat the mosquito larvae.
 or eggs, they are rapidly succeeding in exterm-
 inating this insect. These Control Areas present
 a symmetrical pattern when viewed from the air.
