CiVIC LIFE AND FRATERNAL INTERESTS Dr. Murphree was especially interested in boys' work of the Rotary International. He was active in directing the af- fairs of the organization that has in charge the loans made to worthy students of the University, known as the Florida Loan, Inc. This is one of the outstanding activities of the Gaines- ville Rotary Club. The Gainesville Rotary Club held a special memorial service for their departed fellow member and past president, at which meeting Barney Colson, president of the club and past president of the University of Florida Alumni Associa- tion, read the following tribute: 'TIS MORNING List to the strains sublime this day, The harps of Heaven ring! A sainted spirit steals away To hear the angels sing! No more shall he with toil and care And sorrows be opprest, But in that radiant land so fair His soul shall sweetly rest. Well may all we who linger here Our grateful voices blend, And with the angel chorus there Join in the Grand Amen!
