In 1879 he was appointed United States ooammissicer and deputy clerk of the United States district and circuit courts at Tampa, which position he still retains. Henry L. Crane is a member of the Episcopal Church, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and of the United Confederate Veterans. He married in 1868 Mrs. tferoba (Hoo. ker) Turnan. (See Hooker family.) She died April 19, 1898. There were no children born to them. Judge Crane is still living in Tampa, and is the only one of his family residing in this city.
