They have had Twelve children, seven sons and five daughters; namely, IJoseph P., jr., Martha D (deceased), Jefferson Lee, Michael 'Oscar (deceased), Mary 0., Jerry G., John Horace, Kate Julia, Herbert Lawrence, Edith, Marion Walsh and Fannie A. (4) Seaborn L., married Laura Hanna. They have had six children, five girls and one boy--Mary, who married John; Collins, Frances .;ho married Robert 'Jhitehurst, Tillie, who .married "dward Short, Clara (deceased), Julia who married William Kirk "'esley. (5) Green W. has been married twice, the first time to Sarah To- send, who bore him two children-John Theodore, who married Christine Massey, and Grace 7., who carried Robert E. Andrews. After the death of his first -wife Green X. Robles married :Miss E. r. Strickland. (6) Francis I. married Kate Binckley. They have two sons--Ibert & Orryl. (7) Horace T. married Amy Moon. They have three child- ren-Horace Carlisle, Charles '"alter and dith Maude. (8) Mary 0., who is now the widow of William C. Tanneri irs. Tanner has five children--four girls and one boy. One, a daughter, died. The survivors are Stella, who married Donald M:cIntyre, of South Carolina; Lilia, Alfred and Con- chita. (9) Fannie A., married Arthur '.. Cuscaden. She is the mother of three boys, all living. Their names are Arthur .W., jr., Ernest M. and T. 'alter. (10) Julia A. has been twice married, the first time to william Penn, by whom she had four children, three girls and one boy, Callie, who married Hazen Kirk; Mary, who mar- ried Rufus Davis; Marcus and Margaret. After the death of her first husband, Julia A. Penn married William W.. Harris,, by whom she had one son, Wesley. The annals of this family present a remarkable record of longevity and health. The founder of the family, Joseph. Robles, lived to the very unusual age of ninety years. There rere born, of the second and third generations, forty-nine persons, and only three individuals have died, ione of the second generation and two of the third. A number of the third generation, counting from the ancestor, Joseph Robles, are the fathers and mothers \f chill iren, and, including tie fourth generation, there are more ,than a hundred of the Robles family now living. i Though several of the children of Joseph Robles have been- married maoer than-oncaadthn one -exception, that of-te youngest daughter, their children have all been of one wife
