couple eight children, one daughter and seven sons,
all of whom are still living. The daughter, Ma-
tilda, married Bolon B. Turman, a descendant of one
of the old families of Tampa. He is now dead. The
sons of Howell T. and Almeria Bell (McKay) Lykes
are Frederick E., Howell T., James McKay, Lipscobb,
Thomas Mayo, John Wall and Joseph Taliaferro.
