WARREN, William Earl COMPANY M, 124TH INFANTRY (Leon County) Born: 13 December 1921 Wakulla, Florida. Warren had completed two years of high school, lived in Wakulla and worked in a service station earning $12 per week at the time he enlisted in Company M, 124th Infantry Regiment 9 September 1940. He was inducted into federal service as a Private 25 November 1940. His subsequent assignments are not known but he was reported died or killed in service during the war. His next of kin included Laura Warren, mother, Arran Florida. WEAVER, William Donald COMPANY E, 124TH INFANTRY (Suwanee County) Born: 13 August 1915 Perry, Florida. Weaver lived in Live Oak and worked as a grocery clerk earning $15 per week at the time he enlisted in Company E, 124th Infantry Regiment 22 August 1934. He was inducted into federal service as a Corporal 25 November 1940. He was later assigned to the 119TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 30TH INFANTRY DIVISION. He was a Private at the time of his death. His next of kin included Mrs. N.A. Weaver, mother, Live Oak, Florida. KILLED IN ACTION; 12 July 1944 St. Lo, Normandy, France. 119th Infantry Regiment 30th Infantry Division (The 30th Division was deeply involved in the weeks-long and costly struggle to eject the Germans from the hedgerow country around and near the crucial road juntion city of S. Lo. On the 12th of July, a divisional attack in the Pont Herbert area met strong German resistance and was stopped with heavy casualties, including Weaver).
