Born: 8 August 1916 Draper, North Carolina.

Stegall had completed two years of college, lived in Orlando and
worked as an electrical engineer earning $25 per week at the time
he enlisted in Company K, 124th Infantry Regiment 15 July 1940.
He was inducted into federal service 26 November 1940. He was
later assigned to the 157TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 45TH INFANTRY
DIVISION. He was a Private 1st Class at the time of his death.

His next of kin included Mrs. Lillian Stegall, mother,
Washington, DC.

KILLED IN ACTION; 25 March 1944 Italy.

(The 45th Division had been in the Anzio Beachead from the
beginning of the operation in February. Although there were no
major battles the week of Stegall's death, there was constant
"wasteage" from patrol and artillery action, even in the "quiet"
times like mid-March 1944).

Born: 23 July 1915 Zanesville, Ohio.

Stevens lived in Miami when he enlisted in Company A, 124th
Infantry Regiment 4 November 1940 and was inducted into federal
service 25 November 1940. He was an Aviation Cadet at the time
of his death.

His next of kin Included Mrs. Catherine Stephens, mother, Miami,
Florida.

DIED NON-BATTLE; date, location and unit assignment at the time
of death is unknown.
