He was inducted into federal service 25 November 1940. Later, he was assigned to the 12TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 4TH INFANTRY DIVISION. He was a Private at the time of his death. Rabb had completed three years of high school and lived in Miami working as a mechanic's helper at $15 per week when he enlisted in Battery F, 265th Coast Artillery. He was inducted into federal service 6 January 1941. He was a Sergeant at the time of his death. His next of kin included Henry Rabb, father, Miami, Florida.
