Norsworthy had completed two years of high school when he first enlisted in Company H, 124th Infantry Regiment 6 March 1934. He was inducted into federal service as a Private 25 November 1940. His next of kin included Mrs. A. G. Norsworthy, mother, Lake City, Florida. DIED NON-BATTLE; 21 December 1940, auto accident west of Starke, Florida. (He was on his way home for the Christmas Holidays). OGDEN, Ernest E. BATTERY E, 265TH COAST ARTILLERY (Monroe County) Born: 11 April 1921 Key West, Florida. Ogden had completed one year of high school, lived in Key West and worked as a laborer at the time of his enlistment in Battery E, 265th Coast Artillery Regiment 16 November 1939. He was inducted into federal service 6 January 1941 as a Private 1st Class. Later he was assigned to the 505TH PARACHUTE INFANTRY, 82ND AIRBORNE DIVISION. His next of kin included Pedro Aguilar, uncle, Key West, Florida. KILLED IN ACTION; 30 April 1945 Wentischtum, Germany. 505th Parachute Infantry 82nd Airborne Division (The division had been engaged in the combat crossing of the Roer River and subsequent operations north of the Ruhr Pocket. In late April 1945, the division attacked the remnants of the German 21st Army near the Elbe River in extreme northern Germany.
