Born: 19 December 1921 Pine Level, Florida.

Call had completed grammar school, lived in Fort Myers and drove
an ice truck earning $5 per week when he enlisted in Company E,
106th Medical Regiment 24 June 1940. He was inducted into
federal service as a private 25 November 1940. He was a
Technician 5th Class at the time of his death.

KILLED IN ACTION; 6 February 1945, location and unit assignment
at the time of death unknown.





CANNON, Alvin Bretton


COMPANY L, 124TH INFANTRY
(Manatee County)

Born: 27 January 1910 Colquitt, Georgia.

Cannon lived in Bradenton and worked as a laborer earning $15 per
week when he enlisted Company L, 124th Infantry Regiment 12
August 1937. He was inducted into federal service 25 November
1940 as a Private 1st Class and released to state control 1
December 1941. He was recalled to federal service 19 January
1942.

His next of kin included J.F. Cannon, father, Colquitt, Georgia.

DIED NON-BATTLE; 9 April 1943 of a cerebral hemorrhage at the
hospital, Fort Benning, Georgia.
