This year's event will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010. The Cook Off will be held at Veterans Park during the Fall Festival. The event will begin at 11 a.m. with judging at 11:30 a.m. The public will be able to sample chili from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. for a nominal donation of $5 per person. Awards will be presented at 2 p.m. Challenge Registration is $25 per team. This is a "People's Choice" competition. There will also be a judges' award for each chili category, as well as a showmanship award. Entrants are encouraged to use this as an informational opportunity to promote their departments. Business cards, brochures and other free materials may be distributed from your booth.
