 A hit-
 and-run
 accident
 early
 Sunday
 morning Candelaria
 ended in a
 trip to the
 Columbia County Jail for a
 Live Oak man, said the
 Florida Highway Patrol.
 The crash occurred
 around 1 a.m. on US 441,
 when Erick Xavier
 Candelaria, 19, pulled from
 the shoulder into the path
 of a northbound 1998
 Plymouth, FHP reported.
 The left frqnt of
 Candelaria's 2004
 Chevrolet struck the right
 side of the Plymouth.
 Candelaria allegedly fled
 the scene, traveling south
 toward Lake City.
 Diana L. Platt, 63, of
 White Springs, the driver
 of the Plymouth, and
 passenger Marvin Roberts,
 53, followed Candelaria
 until a Lake City Police
 officer stopped the vehicle
 at the intersection of
 Marion Street and Veterans
 Avenue, said FHP.
 Candelaria was arrested
 without incident and


charged with leaving the
scene of a crash with
property damage, records
show.
 No injuries were reported
and all parties were
reportedly wearing seat
belts.
 Damage to the Plymouth
was valued at $2,000 with
$3,000 damage to the
Chevrolet.
