GED test will be given


Dec. 6-7 at Adult School

announces that the General
Education Development test
(GED) will be given in
Calhoun County on
Wednesday, December 6,
2006. and
Thursday,December 7, 2006'
beginning at 1:00 P.M. each
afternoon. The test site will
be' the Calhoun County Adult
School located between the
football field and Harveys on
Charlie Johns Street.
 Based on' state law, per-
sons shall be eligible to take
the test if they are 18 years of
age or older. Those who meet
this age requirement and
wish to take the tests for a
high school diploma must
submit an application to

Supervisor, at the Calhoun
County School Board Office,
.20859 East Central Avenue,
Room G-20, Blountstown,
Florida located in the base-
ment of the Calhoun County
Courthouse. This should be
done by 4:00 P.M. Tuesday,
December 5, 2006. Persons
residing outside of Calhoun
County will have to receive
special permission from the
GED Testing Office in
Tallahassee before they are
eligible to take the test in
Calhoun County.
 Please be prepared to pay
the fee for taking the tests at
the time you come fill out the
application. The costs for
taking the test will be $7.00
for each test if you wish to


take less than the full battery
of five test, and $35.00 if you
wish the full battery of five
tests. It would be helpful if
you bring the correct change
when you come to register
and pay your fees. All appli-
cants need to bring your
social security card, and a
driver's license or picture ID
when registering. All materi-
als needed for testing will be
furnished by the school dis-
trict..
