BY KELLI PEACOCK News Editor The Blountstown Lady Tigers chalked up two wins; last week against Wewa and Port St. Joe. The Tigers took on Wewa Sept. 11 and won, 25-9, 25- 16, 26-16. Holly Jeppson led with 23 service points, two aces, three blocks and a kill. Chelsea Faircloth had 18 service points, two aces, and two digs. 'The girls are playing hard and continuing to improve their skills," says Coach Tanya Durham. "Holly Jeppson had a very good serving game, as well as Chelsea Faircloth. Laura Kastli and Dianna Glaze had good games as well, leading the team with seven kills each." The girls took on St. Joe Sept. 12 and won, 25-7, 25- 14, 25-16. Lauren Wood pro- vided 27 service points, 12 sets and an ace. Faircloth had 13 points, three digs and an ace. "Lauren Wood had a very good serving match," says Coach Durham. "Molly Fagen and Holly Jeppson had good efforts offensively." The J.V. squad also shut- down both St. Joe and Wewa. They remain undefeated. The Cats took on LCHS Sept. 12 and were defeated, 19-25, 19-25, 10-25. Teams leaders included Sylvia Bodiford with six service ,points and four digs; Joy Capps with four service points, five kills, and a dig; and Cherie Hires with four service points, two kills and four assists. The tables were turned when the Cats faced the Lady Pirates of Sneads Thirsday and won, 25-21, 21-25, 25- 14, 25-20. Hires .led with 18 service points, four kills and nine assists. Rebecca Wiltse led with seven points, followed by Nikki Schamens with six. The J.V. squad also took out Sneads, 25-17, 23-25, 15-1. K.K. Beauchamp brought in an impressive 16 points to lead Altha. "We have stepped up our intensity and aggressive play," says Coach Mary McClellan. "We stay mentally focused the entire match. The victory against Sneads was a big mental step for the varsity squad.
