The County Record, SEPTEMBER 20, 2006, Page 4 ' LETTERS TO THE EDITOR ^ :? Dear Editor: Three cheers for Main Street Blountstown!!! Saturday evening, September 16th, I had the pleasure of enjoying a won- derful comedic murder mys- tery performance put on by Main Street Blountstown, a committee of local .Blountstown area business owners, as well as volun- teers, designed to raise S money for the revitalization and beautification of the buildings and landscaping of ithe downtown area of Blountstown. a The play was written by Kelli Peacock, and was h helped brought into fruition ,Ji by Vicki Montford of Wakulla Bank, as well as the creative finesse of Angie Hill of Merle ;Norman-Studio 20 whose decorations for the event car- i-ied such style and grace. The evening started out with an over-the-top dining expe- rience made available by Tim 'Faircloth, Adrienne Wood and Doris Traylor. The fact of the matter that 'attendees, 'as well as myself, felt like we were all a part of ;an all out murder mystery, Though comical in nature, "kept my attention as well as everyone else through the .entire performance. The very tatstfullv done musical ensemble of Crystal Rivers accompanied the play with its sound that reverberated : throughout the historic walls of the old courthouse, made S the entire experience' that mTnuch more' entertaining as S ell as realistic. I just wanted to take a momentt to thank everyone 'or their hard work and months of dedication in Preparing for the evening. As .new member of the -alhoun.County Chamber of commerce, I am proud to be associated with such a fine group of people and I look forwardd to 'The Oscar Party," S he next ultimate dining r\ent planned for February.. :f you are looking for a truly entertaining dining experi- tnce, that will be filled with j uch style, and 'grace, I Encourage, you. to,.,.t.ge 0your tickets well in advance, because you will not want to miss out on another opportu- nity that these talented mem- bers of your community have to offer. Sincerely. Chris Heath. REALTOR ERA Chipola Realty-The. Chadwell Group, Chipley Dear Editor, This letter is for whornmeer murdered my dogs by poison- ing, in the town of Altha. How mean, cold, gutless and heartless you are. I feel sorry for you! I came home from work Saturday morn- ing, September 8, and found 3 of my dogs dead. If you would have come to me FIRST and told me they were annoying you, I would have gotten the chance to do something with them. Instead you took their lives. I understand Potty, Tiny, and Grump were nothing but someone's annoying dogs to you, but they have been my babies for two years. Someone took my Big Mac's life last week the same way. Tiny had a 2 month old baby. How dare you play God and take their lives. I would never take away your family like that. The Lord takes care of His innocent. You took their souls. May God have more mercy on your soul than you did for my beloved dogs! Marcia Adkins Dear Editor, I am writing to let the fam- ilies of Calhoun County know that their way of life is about to be drastically changed (for the worse) if our school board passes the school consolida- tion issue at next month's meeting. That meeting will be held on TUESDAY, OCTO- BER 10 at 5:00 p.m. in the Emergency Management Meeting Room located in the Calhoun County Courthouse 'basement. As you may or may not know, our Calhoun County School Board spent $5,000 of our money to hire a consult- ant, Dr. John Watson. (Every government agency has rio money other than the money they take from us in the form of taxes.) Dr. Watson is an educational facility planner who works for the Tallahassee architectural firm of Clemons, Ruther ford & Associates, Inc and not the Department of Education (DOE).
