The County Record, FEBRUARY 16, 2005, Page 9 Chipola homecoming set Blaze spreads on Turkey Creek Rd. A Bristol mobile home, shed, and several acres burned Friday after a blaze spread along Turkey Creek Road. Randy Stewart, who owns the property with his family, spoke with The County Record at the scene and said he was preparing about a 10 foot square area for a garden and was burning that section when the fire suddenly spread. "We weren't planning to burn the trailer or the land," he remarked with a laugh. He said he attempted to keep the fire Sunder control, but it kept getting away from him. Volunteer firefighters, along with the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, responded and juggled their efforts between several hot spots over an approximate quarter mile area. They even- tually extinguished the fire, only to have it reignite later in the day at the mobile home. Fortunately, the home was got occupied and no one was injured.
