NOVEMBER 25, 2004 THE COURIER 15 Berry Growers Honor Their Own At 'Jam' RON WETHERINGTON IS HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE Staff report Amid all the sock hoppin' and jukebox jumpin', the Flor- ida Strawberry Growers Asso- ciation honored the best in the industry at its 22nd annual Strawberry Jam Nov. 13. Guests came dressed for the fabulous 50s flashback during the event the association called its "Jukebox Jam." Lifetime agriculturist Ron Wetherington took a place in the association's Strawberry Hall of Fame. A Plant City native, Wetherington has dab- bled in lots more than straw- berry growing, including citrus, tropical fish and tractor sales.
