While the world was reporting that the doors to Russia were closing, Dr.'s Kevin & Leslie McNulty, co-founders of Christian Adventures International, were launching the largest tent ministry in history across the former Soviet Union and Eurasia. Partner- ing with Dr. T. L. Osborn, the NcNulty's have pro- claimed the Gospel to millions in more than 50 na- tions for over 28 years, speaking to multitudes from 5,000 to 250,000 while holding conferences and out- door events. Many have been miraculously healed at their crusades. Their expert insight and rich experi- ence will energize you and equip you for the BIG plans GOD has for your life. A covered dish dinner will follow the service. Call 493-1554 for more information. The Walkers will be at Calvary Temple on Sunday March 22nd at 10:30 a.m. If you en- joy good gospel music combined with excel- lent ministry, then you will enjoy this family. Everyone invited! We missed you and your family! Remember: the door of the church is open to all, come on down and join us as we join to- gether to LLLL.... listen, learn, love and live for the LORD! Please come back again for lots of love, warm hand- shakes, friendly smiles and some GODLY hugs! JUST A THOUGHT: The closer we walk with GOD, the clearer we see HIS guidance! We will be looking for you! Our folks celebrating their birth last month were: Freddie Hires, Matthew Elli- son, Faith Holden, Mike Blakely, E.J. Walker, Janice Morrow, Jennifer Ellison, Lindsey Wood, Sandy Tillis and Mitch Mitchell! We had two couples celebrating their anniversaries: Gary and Susie Johns, also Mitch and Carolyn Mitchell! Are we rising above these challenging times? Are we seeking a bailout from GOD? Are the burdens getting heavy? Remember: GOD determines where our world is going; HE knows the future! It's like a GPS we may not know where we are or exactly where we are go- ing but GOD does! Come worship HIM in the midst of your storm! We can walk down "life's pathway" to- gether! Living for CHRIST brings true freedom! Do you want to be free? Romans 8:2 tells us we can see the joy that is ours when we are "free from the law of sin and death." Hours waiting to be filled in any way we choose. Each morning brings a quiet hope that rises with the sun. Each evening brings the sweet content that comes with work well done.- Unknown Calvary Temple News It has been a while since Calvary has submitted a news ar- ticle. By no means does this indicate that good things have not been happening. God has been richly blessing in many, many, ways. People are still being saved, healed and encour- aged in the Lord. Attendance has been steadily increasing and our Prison Ministry continues to win many souls to Je- sus. As with any church we do have our share of ups-&- downs but there are many more "ups" than there are downs. The primary reason for this article is certainly not to boast (that always seems to lead to trouble) but to encourage our readers to take a serious look around today at world events relative to predetermined world events foretold in the Bible. What we are witnessing world-wide is not by accident, but by design. Current events without doubt are leading up to the return of our Saviour Jesus Christ, "but" before His re- turn things will probably get much worse before they get better. Things that are occurring are not necessarily the re- sult of God's anger, but rather, the result of God's love as He reminds us of the insecurities of the things we have held dear. One by one, it seems that the things we have permit- ted to become our idols (money and wealth) are being re- moved from our lives. God's people, Israel, never called on their God until things were made very bitter. Folks, things are getting very bitter! It's time to look up! Join us at Cal- vary and let's look up together. We might not be the best but we are persistent. Services Sunday @ 10:30 and Wednesday Bible study @ 7:00. In a few weeks we will begin a study through book of Revelation -- hope you will join us. Pastor Jim Hurst Gospel Concert Featuring The Reflectsons at Countryside Chapel After 16 years in the Gospel Music arena, The Reflect- sons are still perpetuating a rich tradition in the most modern Southern Gospel of our time. While their be- ginning was small and sim- ple, each year has brought about new developments and opportunities that have grown into what this group is best known for today. Each member of the group contributes new songs reg- ularly to the performance repertoire, as well as the recording releases. Com- bined, The Reflectsons have produced recorded and per- formed approximately 50 of their original composi- tions. Today, The Reflectsons is comprised of original founder and member, Dale Thigpen, who is manager, emcee and lead vocalist; Glen, who serves as piano player and baritone vocal- ist; Tommy Thigpen joined the group in May 1997 and serves as bass vocalist and sound technician; Leslie Thigpen joined the group after marrying Glen in June 2001, and serves as alto vocalist. Together these four create a four- part family harmony along with the piano and lively accompaniment. You are invited to attend an exciting time of Gospel Mu- sic on Sunday, March 22 at 6:00 pm at Countryside Chapel. For more informa- tion, pelase call 352-542- 8831. What a refreshing change from all the cold we've had recently. Bro. Jackie brought 2 good messages and the special music was beautiful. If you missed either service, you truly missed a blessing. Our upcoming events consist of an open house for Ms. Wil- da Congrove at her new home in Old Town on the 20th of this month. We are looking forward to a great time of fel- lowship. Also, the Easter Brothers will be at Faith beginning March 29th and going through April 1st. They will be singing each night, some of the best bluegrass gospel you will ever hear and also holding a revival. So, there will be singing and preaching by the Easters Sunday night the 29th through Wednesday night the 1st. Mark your calendars and come hear them. You will be glad you did. If you were visiting with us today, we thank God for you and want you to know how special you are to us. We pray that you went away feeling loved and saying it was good to be in the house of the Lord. We invite you back anytime. Wednesday night will be our regular monthly business meeting. As members of Faith, it's our duty to come out and help take care of His business. Remember this week to pray for the sick, the bereaved and especially the lost. We'll be looking for you next week. New Prospect Baptist News Nearing the end of a cold winter, the vibrant colors of the redbuds and maples blooming and the beautiful singing of the birds reminds us that spring is on its way. What a wofi- derful day it was to be in church Sunday, listening to the beautiful hymns, hearing the Word of God proclaimed, and enjoying the fellowship of other Christians. Choosing his text from Isaiah 43:10-11, Bro. Billy delivered a well-thought- out and very strong message, leaving all with much food for thought. During the evening service, we were treated to a most interesting report by Bro. Robert, Sis. Tracey, and Bro. Mike Gaff, complete with a slide show summarizing their recent mission trip to Honduras. While there, they were able to help the people with their medical needs, as well as spreading the gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ. They re- ported being most amazed at the enthusiasm of the chil- dren for learning more about Jesus! We really enjoyed the presentation, and appreciate their sharing their experi- ences with this very worthwhile effort. On Saturday, March 14th, there will be an Associational Youth Rally at Cross City First Baptist Church, at 6:00 P. M. The following Wednesday, March 18th, we will have our monthly Fellowship Supper at the NPBC church annex. We were delighted to have visitors in both services Sunday, and welcome you back anytime, along with all others. Please be diligent in your prayers for those on the church prayer lists, our military personnel, all our political lead- ers, and the condition of our nation, especially the great need for returning God to His rightful place as our ultimate Leader!
