3 innings giving up 10 hits,
10 runs, and 5 earned runs
and striking out 1. Dillon
Raker came on in relief, -
pitching 2 innings, giving up
1 run, 1 earned run, 2 hits
and struck out 2. Kyle Skelly,
Dillon Raker, and Chase
Royal all went 1-2 at the
plate, giving Dixie a total of
only 3 hits.
Frequent Travelers Miles
are adding up for the Bears
as they once again hit the
road on March 5th to take on
the Panthers of Newberry
in a league game. The Bears
looked ready to play. but
were unable to score in the
top of the inning, and Eddie
Brownell took his turn on
the pitcher's mound for the
Bears. The Panthers were
able to score 2 in the bottom
of the inning, making it 2-0.
The Bears were unable to
score anything on the pan-
thers until the 5th. as Eddie
Brownell drove in the Bears
only run.


The Panthers scored big hi
the 2nd and 3rd innings, and
added a run in the -th and
5th. and took home the vic-
tory 11-1. Eddie Brownell
went -4 innings, giving up 10
runs, 5 earned runs. 5 hits.
and struck out 6. Dillon Rak-
er pitcher 1 inning of relief
work giving up 1 run. 1 hit
and struck out 1. Eddie
Brownell was 0-2 with 1 RBI,
and Kyle SkeUlly, Dillon Rak-
er and Ric Whittington all
went 1-2 at the plate. The
Bears hit the road again on
the 13th as they travel
across the bridge to take on
Rival Chiefland in a re
match. (yes, the game is on
Friday the 13th!) please

 Parents who need
 childcare

Parents are invited to join
Childhood Development
Services to receive infor-
mation for childcare ser-
vices in the Dixie, Gilchrist
and Levy area. Information
for services will include
school readiness for ages -
birth to thirteen. Informa-
tion on other services in-
cluded the voluntary pre-
kindergarten for the sum-
mer program 2008-2009
which would include chil-
dren who have not attended
voluntary prekindergarten
this school year and will
start Kindergarten in the
fall.

For the fall 2009-2010
school year parents may get
information to register
children who will be 4 by
Sept. 1, 2009.

Parent service specialists
will be available at Wal-
mart, April 25th from 10:00-
12:00 to answer questions
you may have.

Children will be able to
pick up a reading book and
participate in an art activi-
ty with a prize for each art
sample.

working in the House of Representatives this session and
got lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
She met Tim Tebow and UF Coach Urban Meyer when they
visited the Capital last week to throw balls around with the
State Representatives.
