L A FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH NEWS We thank God for all His blessings, and especially ' for the wonderful rain He sent us this week. Today was a glorious day in the Lord. Bro. Jackie delivered two good messages God had laid on his heart. In the morning service, Bro. Jim Fisher sang in the morn- ing service, doing a wonderful job of singing "I'd Rather Have Jesus" and in the evening service the Britton/Crenshaw Quartet sang "What A Lovely Name". If you missed either service today you truly missed a blessing. Next Sunday June 29th will be our 5th Sunday ser- vice with 5th Sunday dinner in the fellowship hall. Bring your favorite covered dish and join in the fes- tivities. Then that night will be our 5th Sunday night sing. If you want to sing, play ar. instrument or use your talents in any way for the Lord, get in touch with Bro. Jim Fisher so he can get you on the list. We have lots of talent in our church and we'd love to have- you share yours with us. The morning of July 13th there will be a men's breakfast at 9:00 AM. If you plan to attend, be sure you see Bro. Jackie and sign your name on the sign- up sheet so the cooks can know how many to plan for. Then on Sunday night, also July 13th, our Vacation Bible School (VBS) begins- and will go through Friday night the 18th. If you feel led to help with VBS, see ' Cheryl Lord. All help is always needed and appreciat- ed. Remember this week to pray for the sick, the ones who have lost loved ones, the ones in the hospital and especially the lost. Invite a friend or relative to come to Sunday School and Church with you. Our Sunday School attendance has been down lately as well as our ' Wednesday night attendance. Psalm 37:24 (KJV) As sinners, we tend to stumble a lot. We lose our tempers, say crummy things, hurt others' 74 feelings and so forth. Fortunately, God is always there to pick us up, dust us off and get us moving again. God is our cheerleader, and ever time we fall. He is there to catch us. Wyhal a relief to know that God is on our side.
