Page 7 Dixie County Advocate, Cross City, Florida Thursday, April 7, 2005 Abundant Life And Living Prayer- Since the disaster of 911 a great many people are praying worldwide. Some had been praying before, some didn't take time to pray. Some have asked how should they pray, However and whatever the cause that has brought us together in prayer, Thank God we are praying together asking almighty God to bless and protect America and where there is unity there is strength. Because we all want to be sheltered in the storm, if one of us hurt we all will hurt together. Sincere prayer changes things. God will divert situations for us, His mercy S. endures forever. God is our only source and we are secure Stckton in his love and there is power in prayer. (KJV) 2nd chronicles 7:14, states, If my people, which are called by 'my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their Wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Let's keep praying together, and God will keep us under his wings of protection. Let us all pray a special prayer for the men/women in the military, their families, and keep us in perfect unconditional love, perfect peace, joy and happiness. "Love Life and Live It". Faith Baptist Church News It was a beautiful Lord's Day today and we are always thankful for the blessing God bestows upon us here at Faith. Bro. Jackie was away in revival at Scrub Creek, and in the morning service, Bro. Bobby Bryan filled in for him and did a wonderful job as Bro. Bobby always 'does. In the evening service, Bro. Buddy Britton filled in for us and he too did a fabulous job of delivering the message God had laid on his heart. We are always thankful for the blessings of God's people. The special music was.wonderful as usual and if you missed either service today, you. truly missed a blessing. Our Sunday School attendance was down a little today, but that always happens on the day the time changes. Lots of us forget to reset our clocks that hour ahead. If you weren't here today, we want you to know that you are missed and we look forward to having you back with us next week. Remember this week to pray for the sick. Lots of our folks are out from various illnesses and we are praying that they will soon be able to be back with us. We love you and miss you so' much when you aren't here. Come to Sunday School and church next week and invite a friend. May God smile on you this week and keep you happy and healthy until we see you next week. Adult Bible Study & Prayer 7:00 PM -John 10:10 Adult Choir Practice 8:00 PM The Word Made Flesh "The Divine Trinity" Continued from last week. I the son of man, say The Trinity of persons in the Divinity is from the council of Nice, and was derived thence into the Catholic Church and (the churches) after it, and is therefore to be called the Nicene Trinity. But the trinity of God in one person, the Lord God the Saviour, is from Christ Himself, and was thence in the Apostolic Church, and therefore is to be called the Christian Trinity; and this Trinity of God is the trinity of the new church. I the son of man, say there are three summaries of doctrine of the Christian Church concerning the Divine Trinity and at the same time Unity, which are called the Apostolic, the Nicene, ,and the Athanasian creeds. 'The Apostles creed was written by men who are called the Apostolic Fathers; the Nicene creed, by an assembly of bishops and priests who were called together by the emperor Constantine in the city of Nice, with a view to dissipate the scandals Arms' concerning his denial of the Divinity of the Son of God; and the Athanasian creed, by a certain person or persons after that council. I the son of man, say these ;three creeds were acknowledged and received by the Christian Church as ecumenical and Catholic,. that is, as the universal of doctrine, respecting the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, love you, continue next week.
