searching for vendors for your wedding. While some services
may actually have a wedding coordinator on site. many do not.
What they pro\ ide instead is someone to oversee their sern ice. A

up of the flower arrangements that ha'e been ordered. That per-
son \\ill not see to anything else. A true wedding coordinator, on
the other hand. \ ill see to the needs of the bride and groom from
the beginning of the wedding to the very end. If you are planning
your wedding and are finding it difficult to attend to ever\ thing.'
consider hiring a wedding coordinator.
 Before you shop around for a wedding coordinator, you need

 When you find a wedding coordinator, set up an interview
with then and find out:
 How much experience they have. The more weddings the
coordinator has planned, the better. Ask for referrals and steer
clear of an\ coordinators whose experience is limited to the \wed-
dings of friends and family.
 Ho\% much they charge. Some will charge by the hour, some
\\ill charge a flat fee and some will work on a percentage of your
wedding budget. Ask if they receive commissions or referral fees
from vendors. If they do, this could be a sign of %\here their lo\ -
alty lies. A\oid choosing a coordinator who may pressure you to
use particular vendors.
 What happens in the event they are unable to make it to the
wedding. Sometimes things happen and the coordinator may not
be able to make it to the wedding. Make sure they have an assis-
tant who can fill in for them should this occur.
 Ho%% many weddings they attend in one day. Avoid choos-
ing a coordinator who does more than one wedding a day. You
could run into scheduling conflicts.
 What other services they provide. Coordinating should be
their main focus. Steer clear of coordinators w ho pro\ ide ser-
vices, like music or catering. They may not be able to give you the
attention you need.

Make sure it is by hiring a wedding coordinator who will cater to
your every need from the beginning to the end ef your wedding.
