heart! I have no doubt she is grunting loving

 

words in pig language. She thinks to herself
what credit he does to her bringing-up,’ and
what a comfort he is to her old age. She has
but one anxiety about him. So fascinating and
accomplished as he is, she fears lest he should
be induced to marry; and then his poor old
mother would no longer be the first object of
his affection.
