Airport Festival
 The City of Williston along with the Williston Area
Chamber of Commerce will hold the 3rd Annual Williston
Airport Recreational Fest and Aviation Fly Market from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Williston Airport.
 The event will feature static displays of old and new
airplanes and biplanes, as well as Cessna 170 plane rides
by LumartAviation. The annual event also features boats,
antique cars, antique tractors and demonstrations by the
Levy County Sheriff's Office including K-9 demos.
The event will also include arts, crafts and food vendors
and entertainment.
 Rain date will be March 30. Admission is $2 per
person and parking is free. For additional information

'Hooded and Hoodwinked'
 The Chiefland High School Drama Club will present
"Hooded and Hoodwinked" at the Tommy Usher
Pineland Center April 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $35
for two. Tickets are on sale at Drummond Community
Bank and Chiefland High School.
 Proceeds will go to benefit the March of Dimes,
FBLA and CHS Drama Club for their efforts in making
the event a success.

Meal beginning at 6 p.m. April 19. Participants will learn
how the many symbols of this important Jewish holiday
directly translate to the Christian faith, culminating with

Limestone mine scoping meeting
 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public
meeting today at the Tommy Usher Community Center
in Chiefland to receive comments on the scope of the
Tarmac King Road Limestone Mine Environmental
Impact Statement.
 The EIS is designed to evaluate the potential impacts
of further rock mining in southern Levy County wetlands.
The proposed area includes approximately 4,800 acres,
of which 2,700 acres will be mined.
 Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the actual
meeting beginning at 6:15. Participants must register to
present oral comments. Oral comments will be recorded.

Suwannee River Players present 'Grease'
 The Suwannee River Players will present "Grease"
today through Sunday at the Chief Theater in Chiefland.
Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and
2:30 p.m. Sunday.
 Thursday are Student/Senior Nights with $1 off
regular ticket prices. Regular ticket prices are $10 for
adults, $8 for students, and free admission to children 6
and younger. Shows are performed at the Chief Theater,
25 East Park Ave. in Chiefland. High school graduates
from the '50s can get free admission with a copy of their
senior photo.

 "Grease" is set in the fun-filled 50's, a world of
hot rods, leather jackets, 45's, pedal pushers, D.A.'s,
roller skates, drive-in movies, and musicians like
Elvis, Fabian and Ricky Nelson singing that "new"
music known as rock 'n' roll. Enjoy an evening with
cool Burger Palace Boys and their fine Pink Ladies
along with our favorite characters of Rydell High in
this live classic rock 'n' roll musical, Grease, written
by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, and sponsored by
Drummond Community Bank.

Wild Hog Canoe and Kayak Race
 Amvets Post No. 88 of Bronson will sponsor the
Wild Hog Canoe and Kayak Race April 26 at the
Waccassasa on State Road 24. Proceeds will go to
the Levy Association for Retarded Citizens. A Chili
Cookoff and Classic Car Show will be held April 12
to help publicize the race. The event will be held on
the Amvets Post No. 88 property, next to the Bronson
Speedway. The event will include raffles, entertainment
by DJ Jeff, registration for the canoe race and more.
Chili vendors will be able to sell their own chili after
the judging. Trophies will be awarded for both the
cookoff and the car show. Trucks and motorcycles are
welcome at the car show. For more information, call

SCORE workshop,
 The Gainesville Chapter of SCORE, Counselors
to America's Small Business, will hold a workshop
for entrepreneurs beginning at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at
the SCORE office in the Sun Center in Gainesville.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss doing
