Announcements Chamber annual meeting scheduled for Jan. 26 The Lake City/Columbia County Chamber of Commercce will host its 84th annual meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. wth a reception, dinner at 7 and the program to follow on Jan. 26 at the Lake City Community College gymnasium. The guest speaker this year will be Dr. Jerome S. Osteryoung, dean of Florida State University School of Business. Mr. George Andrew "Andy" Foster, Mr. George Andrew "Andy" Foster, 66, passed away suddenly at his residence in Gainesville, Florida on Friday morning December 30, . 2005..A native of Clayton,Georgia, Mr. Foster had been a resident of Gainesville for the past twenty years having moved there from Lake City. Mr. Foster was the mechanic shop foreman for Osteen Construction where he had been employed for many years. Mr. Foster was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, tinkering and especially the time he spent, with his grandchildren. Mr. Foster was preceded in death this past November by his wife of 45 years, Thelma Jean Foster. His daughters, Joyce Privette and Andrea Burt Myers also preceded him in death. Mr. Foster is, survived by his daugh- ter and son-in-law, Pamela Gail & Duane Pollard of Lake City; his five grandsons, Dustin Foster,, Darrell Pollard, Drew Privette, Jarrod Pollard and Toby Harrell and four grand-daughters, Amanda Burt, Victoria Burt, Serena Myers and Allison Pollard.
