Auditions for M*A*S*H will held at 7 p.m., May 9-10 at the theater. The production requires a large cast of 15 men and 15 women. The fast-paced play cap- tures the spirit and humor of the very popular play and television series and is full of action. The cast calls for regular M*A*S*H characters, other GIs, medical personnel, Korean characters and three civilian girls. The audition does not require any prepared pieces, however those inter- ested will need to perform a cold reading. Dot Harvey will be direct- ing the production. Lorraine Kirkland, public- ity chairwomen, says the play will offer many ama- teur actors a chance to prac- tice their talents. "This play will require several major characters and additional extra actors to portray the company," she said. "It is a perfect opportunity for people to get their feet wet." The production is sched- uled to run in July. "The play was selected as a fun, light-hearted piece that would be timely for the Fourth of July," Kirkland said.
