 If you do not pay your debt, you are con-
sidered a financial risk by lenders and
you may either be denied credit or given
credit at an obscenely high interest rate. A
consequence specific to the military is that
your security clearance may be revoked
if you do not pay your debts. Pursuant to
SECNAVINST M-5510.30, continuation of
a security clearance is based on a "whole
person concept."
 One of the factors considered is a per-
son's ability and willingness (or lack there-
of) to meet financial obligations and/or pay
