 VP-49 Crew 4 has been awarded the squadron's William F.
 Lange Award,designating it as the top"49er"ASW crew.
 / d 0 r The award was established as a memorial in honor of a former VP-

 ; Competition between all 11 crews in the squadron was based on crew
 Military'financial readiness and a point system reflecting the crew's individual and crew.

 capabilities were demonstrated in ASW exercises with U.S.
 submarines and in the ASW ground trainers.
 Accepting the award for the crew was the plane commander, Capt.
 Pete Corry, a Canadian exchange officer.
