It will be shown throughout the world in military theatres and aboard ships targeting young males who tend to take risks in an effort to reduce motorcycle and automobile mishaps. "What we are trying to do with this video is appeal to the younger male population through social norms. We're trying to make it look cool to be safe. It's based on peer intervention. They will be performing on March 3 at NAS Jax during the Recreational Safety Rodeo. Purcell's Motorcycle and Marine World, Suzuki Sea Doo of Orange Park, Patriot Motorcycle Training, Cycle Accessories, A& M Motor- cycle Safety Course, Jax Biker Gear and Atlantic Moto Sports are local ven- dors from the area that will be presenting safety related products, motorcycle train- ing class information, as well as bringing motorcy- cles, ATVs, personal water- draft and boats. These vendors have sup- plied a wide array of prizes that may be won by compet- ing in one of the participa- tion events or as door prizes. The NAS Jax Mor- ale, Welfare and Recreation Department will have food and drinks available for purchase for those who work up an appetite, This event will have something to offer for almost everyone. Conway, a native of Wilkes-Barre, Penn., graduated from St. Fran- cis College, Loretto, Penn., with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was commis- sioned an ensign through Officer Candidate School. He earned his master's degree in education from Providence College, Prov- idence, R.I. in May 1979. Additionally, he gradu- ated from the National Defense University's Industrial College of the Armed Forces in May 1990. Throughout his naval career, Conway served in numerous leadership positions on board ships and at shore installations. His previous duty sta- tions include Commander, Navy Region Hawaii, Commander.
