In order to qualify for the honor, students must complete 12 credit hours or more, earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher and receive no incomplete grades for the. term. -'Herring is the son of Sarah anid the late Reverend John Herring. He attended school in Hamilton County and graduated from Hamilton County High School in 1985. The. Stormant family spent' over a year renovating that building and creat- ing Fat Belly's Bar 'N' Grill. "It was more econom- ical and the location and parking is much more convenient for the customers," said Stor- mant. "Fat Belly's is co- zier and the customers like to come in and eat, relax and watch the television." The Suwannee Diner. is in a historic building and the 160-foot contin- uous mural depicting the seasons ;on the Suwannee River had been cited in national magazines. "I hope for that and a, lot more," Stormant said. However, he did admit, "I miss the mur- al." No definite plans have been made for the building. The Country Cafe opened its door onr Feb. 2. The name is familiar 'to the citizens of White -Springs and surround- ing areas. However, it is * now in a different loca- tion. It was previously located in the building now occupied by Fat Belly's, but now can be found off US 41 at the . east Suwannee entrance :to White Springs on Sunrise Drive. The building had been pre-' viously' dedicated and' is recognized, as The Shotwell Family Life Center by the PHI Min- istries that owns the building and is next 'door. Tony Shotwell, his. wife JoAnn and family opened the Country Caf6 in 1998. With the now famous Friday night dinners and Tony's outgoing per- sonality, the restaurant was a success.
