Army Maj. Douglas W Rogers


 Army Major Douglas W. Rogers has
retired from the U.S. Army after 22
years of military service. Before retir-
ing, he was a nurse practitioner as-
signed to Bassett Army Community
Hospital, Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks,
Alas.
 Maj. Rogers is the son of O'Dell and
Delia Rogers of Lake City, Fla. His wife,
Debbie, is the daughter of Dorothy
Warren, White Springs. He graduated
from Columbia High School in Lake
City in 1974, and received a bachelor's
degree in 1995 from Austin Peay State
University, Clarksville, Tenn. He earned
a master's degree in 2000 from Pace
University, Pleasantville, N.Y.

Landfill and Recycling Cen-
ter will be closed Friday,
April 14 and Saturday,
April 15, in observance of
Good Friday and Easter.
 The Landfill accepts resi-
dential household garbage,
as well as hazardous waste.

Center accepts paint, house-
hold chemicals, used motor
oil, oil filters and batteries
at no charge.
 The Recycling Center ac-
cepts glass, plastic, card-
board and papers (newspa-
pers, catalogs, magazines,
etc.) at no charge. They buy
only aluminum cans.
 The normal hours of op-
eration for the Landfill are

April 14, at Harvest Fellow-
ship Church at 407 E. Hat-

ing will start at 7 p.m. and
include ministers and pas-
tors from many churches in
Hamilton County. All are
