Photo Submitted The Horvath family of Suwannee County gave a multi-media presentation of their recent nine-day mis- sionary trip on the Rio Ne- gro (Black River) in Brazil during the evening service at New Hope Baptist Church on March 5. The entire family Cindy and Glenn with their chil- dren Caroline, Andrew, Philip, and Victoria trav- eled aboard a large, former cruise. ship, which is now used for ministry. The trip was sponsored by the Ama- zon Vision Ministries of Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville. The presentation was fol- lowed by a reception in the fellowship hall. The Hor- vaths were also instrumental in the formation and growth of the Bellville Community Baptist Church in Bellville. Sunday, March 12 was youth night at New Hope Baptist Church. Several young people led the wor- ship service through music and skits under the guidance of the youth minister, Chris Jones. The evening message was .brought by Brian Mc- Clain, who has recently felt a call upon his life and will pursue theological educa- tion when he completes his work at Madison High School and North Florida Community College. Henry Zittrower, formerly of Hamilton County, and his wife, Frances, are new mis- sionaries to the island of Roatan off the coast of Hon- duras. The Zittrowers gave a multi-media presentation on March 19 of their mission project, which includes evangelization and water purification. Contaminated drinking water is perhaps the biggest health problem today in Roatan. Every year many children under the age of five, die from water contam- nation, which is pre- ventable. Purified water can be pro- vided to a home for as little as $20 per month. A com- plete water system can be funded for $10,000 that would serve 600 homes. Henry Zittrower is avail- able to speak in churches and other organizations about this very critical mis- sion project. Email: mis- sions@livingwater4roatan.co m, or Living Water 4 Roatan P.O. Lewis, Fernandina Beach, along with daugh- ters Sarah Katherine and Caroline, were guests of our family on Saturday and Sunday. The Lewis' stayed over at the farm, and the Lewis girls had a great time playing with Laura Leigh, while Lee and I shared a great visit and enjoyed watching the NBA Playoffs on Saturday evening. The Lewis' attended church ser- vices at First Baptist, White Springs, on. Sunday morn- ing and visited with our family on Sunday after- noon. In the words of the late Maude Havener "A good time was had by all." On Friday, March 31, Jer- ry Lawrence, Rhett, and my- self were joined at the farm by Steve Crapps and Lee Brickman, Live Oak, and we had a wonderful "boys night out" evening. I boiled shrimp, yes I can do that and, with the help of Mama making the cole slaw, I man- aged to put a meal on the table and even managed not to bum the Texas Toast. We had a great evening sitting on the front-screened porch playing guitars and singing late into the night. Rhett Bullard, White Springs, attended a recep- tion last week in Tallahassee that was given by a number of prominent Tallahassee citizens honoring Jim Dayis who is now the front-runnter among' Democrats for the Governor's race in the state of Florida. Rhett stated that the reception was extremely well attended. -.- Things inc. 104 NW Central Ave..
