for the countywide county conimis-
sion seat in 2014, -which is currently
held by Mark Sharpe. He needs to
switch from his East Hillsborough
District 4 seat because of loom-
ing term limits. He'll have eight
years on the Commission in '14. By
changing seats, he can extend his
political career on the Commission
to 16 years.
 He joins Democratic City Coun-
cilwoman Mary Mulhern in filing
for the seat.

woman April Griffin will file her
paperwork very soon. Griffin is a
Democrat and should be a strong
candidate in the race.
 Others that are potentially in the
mix are Republican Rose Ferlita
and Democrat Tom Scott.
