ABSTRACT This manual provides basic instruction in the use of the LCRAND mathematical programming software. LCRAND, a modified version of RANDQP, provides an efficient methodology for solving linear comple- mentarity programming problems arising from economic models involving international trade and other problems requiring optimization of a non-linear objective function subject to a set of linear constraints. LCRAND is unique in that it can handle problems in which the inter- action terms between activities are not symmetric--a limitation of quadratic programming solution algorithms. Experience to date indicates LCRAND is efficient and reliable in solving small and intermediate size problems. Key words: Linear programming, Quadratic programming, Linear complementarity programming.
